Fairy Tale Festival 2013 - Oceans of Discovery

This years Nashua, NH SummerFun program is filled with
Oceans of Discovery

The Wave in 2013 - will bring you to Greeley Park on 7/20/13, and from 10 am to 1 pm - the Head Fairy's Realm will embark upon the adventure of discovering the secrets of the Ocean.

Isaac Newton once said: "To myself I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me.

Together we will leave the beach and discover vast oceans, an enigma of calming and soothing waves, often brought in by overcoming harrowing and stormy weather, connecting us to the world around us by revealing unknown truths and triumphs  the journey begins with you & I & we ...

We will be arriving at the park at 9:45 am to be sure to get in on the excitement and catch a glimpse of  the Mermaid Giovanna, who will be leading us out to sea.  We will accept our Quest and find out all about the community that will be there to welcome us - "you and me and them will abound in oceans of discovery", it is more than probable that even our most cynical non-believer's will simply dive in to explore the possibilities.

There will be some places where we will be waiting they are usually the bouncy places or the face painting places, but we will have more than one of those places to avoid all that waiting, there will be characters to be met, princesses and those characters who know the oceans best. As we meet new friends and old, the waiting will simply drift by, as the waves gently bring us into a new panorama of opportunity and chance.

"YOU" have the chance to show off your reading skills and as you compete in the Quest, everyone wins. And if your shy which of course we all can be from time to time, maybe just maybe you can bring yourself to get in on the action with Jr. Jazzercise and learn to swim like an exotic fish, shark or even a mer-person, (no gillyweed needed) something will be happening all around you. Of course the stage has excitement to make all the waiting simply fly by.

"YOU," having the leading role as you always do that day, as a voyager  in an endless sea filled with over 40 places to investigate and explore and if your hot which surely July can be, you can glide through the mist and renew your thoughts to go further, to see how far your journey will take you. Even our most cynical non-believer, will be surprised at what can be found in one hundred and eighty minutes, and to think that you & I and we will see it all on Concord Street, Nashua, NH

Your invited to the 13th Annual Fairy Tale Festival

DMVC Productions announces the 1st release of Fairy Tale Access

New TV Series Announcement

PRESS RELEASE

DMVC Productions director, Denise-Marie McIntosh, Head Fairy and Independent Research Paralegal shares her quest for unraveling fairy tales in actual time, rather than once upon a time, hosting a new series Fairy Tale Access 1st release found here: http://fairytaleaccess.blogspot.com/2012/09/1st-in-fairy-tale-access-series.html interview with Shriners Hospital for Children, a patient and Captain Hook discovering Shriners ... "Love to the Rescue".

Over ten episodes are currently in the works, and as of 8/25/12 four have been pre-recorded. Fairy Tale Access will show viewers that Fairy Tales do exist in Actual time, rather than once upon a time.

From the classic character introduction to real life fairy tales in the making, these shows will inspire even the most cynical non-believer into believing in … Fairy Tales. Fairy Tale Access will search beyond the standards of absolute and universal application; we will weigh in and re-think the possibilities regarding the nature of Fairy Tales.

Each episode is a quest, access requires participation, and participation requires observing, reading and asking questions. The possibilities? They are endless … packed full of informative information for viewers, as the expert researcher and Head Fairy, Denise-Marie creates new measurements and perceptions that viewers can relate to, and resources that they or someone one they know can use in their own lives, as well as revealing the inspiration and contributors behind the Nashua, NH Fairy Tale Festival, sharing her passion for creating entertaining and thought provoking venues, asking questions and seeking the possibilities.

Denise-Marie said: “I was very excited when I was approached by Access Nashua to create shows that extend past the Nashua, NH Fairy Tale Festival. It will be a great opportunity to share with the Access Nashua viewers what I love about fairy tales, research, literacy and seeking out the possibilities - taking inspiration from real life experiences, and creating interactive, informative and appealing programs. Each program is very different in its own way and there are lots of ideas that I hope will inspire everyone.”

The series will begin weekly during the week of September 2, 2012. The first four in the series will introduce you a variety of connections. The first set of connections occurs between Captain Hook, Shriners Hospitals for children and a vivacious 7 year-old girl and her parents. The second in the series will introduce you to connections between a mermaid, a young woman, a school teacher and Autism Awareness. The discoveries on the Head Fairy’s quest, promise to astound you, but only if you to tune in to "access" the possibilities.

Fairy Tale Access is a DMVC Production for Access Nashua. The Executive Producer is Denise-Marie Cutter McIntosh aka The Head Fairy. It was commissioned by Access Nashua Director Dick Gagnon.
If you have a story you would like to share contact Denise-Marie at fairytaleaccess@comcast.net.

The Quest for Fairy Tales

              It’s a Quest for Fairy Tales ...

It's official, a local TV show that  unravels fairy tales happening all around you right now, rather than once upon a time!

Our official winners on FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/FairyTaleFestival  had some great ideas for names, but they had even better ideas for guests!

Fairy Tale Access Rather than once upon a time, we are going to prove that Fairy Tales do exist in actual time, and unravel them by introducing our audience to all of those people who make great things happen and those who have experienced great things because of it, as well as interview our usual array of fairy tale characters...stay tuned...more details are developing who would you like to see?
The head fairy is going to introduce you to all the people, young and old and all the businesses and children that inspire "The Nashua, NH Fairy Tale Festival" to be as special as it is.

The Head Fairy's Quest is on, will we succeed? Of course, just believe ... in fairy tales it's never to late to start!

ps. it's a green screen, so polka dots, stripes, busy patterns, red, green and white do not work well with that technology, just thought you should know ahead; in case you decide to be our guest.

Let's just say the inside scoop there is - they are try to save their own hides and they are really good at it. Ok, so I'm rambling and I got a bit side track those cows are so cute. I get it. April Fools Day and Deception

Be ware April Fools Day is here ... in some countries like over the boarder in Canada the practical jokes only go on till 12 noon; here in the United States its all day long. French speaking countries call it "Poisson d'avril' (literally "April's fish"), it appears to be a game played by children where you tape a fish to a persons back and yell "Poisson d'avril".
Being deceived is never fun???  The article below released by the Associated Press this past Friday morning shows it happens in the Art World as well as ... ,well, I guess it happens anywhere you can think of.

In the 1900's a new term came out in America for the journalist, novelists, and critics much like myself who exposed corruption in the Government, politics, business and my personal favorite the Department of Health and Human Services; that unofficial but official name for those who expose fraud and push for accountability is "Muckraker" cute, right? kinda like they rake through the muck, it is also used for those watchdogs who seek out and publish the truth to push for reform.

Deception has its twists and turns and this article, that came out Friday, has some interesting twists by a rather accomplished artist; while gifted ,why not create your own work, why copy?   Just a bit to entertain you while you try to avoid 4/1/12; this unofficial holiday dates back to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales written and/or published in 1392, one of the characters Chauntecleer, is tricked by a .... yes a

12th Annual Fairy Tale Festival, Nashua, NH July 21, 2012

Catch the SummerFun Wave!!!
Warmest greetings and Happy Holidays! It's that time of year again, when I am looking for acts, confirming table reservations for the 12th Annual Fairy Tale Festival, and inviting you all to attend this literacy event coming to life on July 21, 2012 from 10am to 1pm; at Greeley Park, 100 Concord Street, Nashua, NH., 03064. It is completely free to the families that attend and every child goes home with a free book about the current years theme, compete in the days "quest" to seek information for free drawings to win gifts from numerous businesses promoting children's ability to read; and on and off stage interactive activities with a variety of story book characters.
I am posting this update and request to re-introduce you to the SummerFun Program operated by the Nashua Parks & Recreation Department.Every season this national award winning program holds over 70 free family concerts and events for residents of Nashua and the surrounding towns. All events are geared towards families and children, in particular, and last season drew over 25,000 people.
SummerFun has been providing these events for over 40 years and every year participation increases. In these continued difficult economic times, your participation will ensure this program continues to thrive and entertain thousands of children. To illustrate the significance of this program, our annual Fairy Tale Festival draws close to 5,000 people, who come from as far away as Vermont and Massachusetts. Participants plan their vacations around this event and shorten vacations in order to attend this incredible literacy spectacle, where every child receives a free book based on that year’s theme! This year we are going to go around the world in 180 minutes; so your act needs to be related to any country or any mode of travel. We will be traveling west and there is no telling what we will see or the mayhem we may encounter along the way... for a sneak peek, it starts with A Magic Portal to... and see more developments here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Nashua-NH-Fairy-Tale-Festival/121088797919285

In addition to helping create such a significant community and family event, your participation includes several marketing advantages for your organization; acts, table sponsors (no charge they must provide a free activity) are included in the program description with company names, a program with every business' participation goes around the park the day of the show, and a table to promote your business at the Fairy Tale Festival.

I would like to thank you and/or your organization for sharing your valuable time in reviewing this request. We are always looking for community leaders and volunteers to serve on our SummerFun Committee and to become more familiar with our programs and take part in their development. I encourage you to call me directly at (603) 566-8318 or Tom Dwane at (603) 589-3364 if you have any questions or would like additional information on sponsorships or volunteering.

Thank you in advance for considering participating and remember we always book up fast for the Fairy Tale Festival so please let me know as soon as possible if you are reserving a table, your table number choice map can be found here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByTPLCn0VjpSYTNkODBmZTgtOTBkNi00ZDU0LWEwM2ItNzRkZWU0NjRlNjYx and if your group is participating in the show, let me know how many 5 -10 minute segments you would like and the country or type of travel it represents or story book character of any given country. Again, I thank you and am looking forward to another outstanding year!!

Happy New Year,
