Dear Mothers and Others;

It’s your intuition that leads unless you neglect to follow it.  Erin Brockovich once said “If you follow your heart, if you listen to your gut, and if you extend your hand to help another, not for any agenda, but for the sake of humanity, you are going to find the truth.”

Domestic Violence is the vulture we meet in life; understanding the enemies frame of reference; they are slick, they use words to woo you in, they want to protect you, even when they think they have to control you to do it; but your intuition …

In traveling through the fog, concentrate on the blue jays in life; you know the ones I mean; it starts out bold and there’s a bond that’s almost, but not quite unbreakable; those are the ones who pick us up and make us feel; the ones we want to comfort, but who in their varying shades of blue become a misty silvery breeze that gently fall away.  They may let us down, but they prepare us for the Red Breasted Robins; a journey that starts with a startled whisper; you’re unconvinced at first; it’s that moment you lock eyes in recognition that takes your breath away.  The course is blemished only by what you let be imposed; escape the vulture, sing with the bluebirds and soar with the Robins; the tribulations on the way will make you stronger.
