Examples of Fraudulent Email Scams

THE RED FLAGS:

1. Your Email isn't included Before Subject Line;
2. Many emails are shown sometimes slight variations of yours; like they are just guessing.
3. The Return email like below is not what the bank uses;
4. The Company they want you to confirm is not even a bank of yours;
5. When in doubt call the number on the card not in the email;

Never give out your personal information online.

The Red Flags in the example below are:

1. The attachment for you to fill out;
2. While seemly harmless it will gain access to your computer after downloading and any information you put in it.;
3.  The Red Flag is you down load it but they don't tell you what to do with it.
4. At the very end it says don't respond to the email.
5. Because they will get the information and more from your downloading the form.

"Things gained through unjust fraud are never secure."
Sophocles

Sophocles wasn't aware that these villains hide out in remote areas; what's not secure when you engage with them is "your assets."

NEW EMAIL SCAM - BEWARE

4 ELEMENTS TO BE-AWARE OF IN EMAIL FRAUD OR SCAMS -
   EXAMPLE BELOW

This is one is pretty convincing - Either Way check these elements of the email before you open,  hit reply or print receipt.

1. DO NOT REPLY OR HIT PRINT RECEIPT

1.  SUBJECT LINE = Order shipped 1st RED FLAG
     1st ask yourself if you ordered anything recently?

2.  SAYS & LOOKS LIKE "FED EX" -  2nd RED FLAG
     EMAIL RETURN ADDRESS IS NOT @ FEDEX so whether it is e-posta, myespostal, or tungsten-wedding-ring, or anything besides FEDEX it's a fraud.

3. 3rd RED FLAG TRACKING ID:
    GO TO THE "REAL" FED EX SITE or UPS SITE TO TRACK PACKAGE
    COPY AND/OR TYPE IN THE TRACKING NUMBER GIVEN
    IT WILL COME UP AS NOT FOUND

4. DO NOT OPEN EMAIL DO NOT RESPOND DO NOT HIT PRINT
    Any one of these actions can result in a virus attacking your computer "myepostal" and/or e-posta.us are an encrypted email service - and this one appears to be in the US but could be rerouted.

The hit print button goes to is alacahan .  org  / ...hp?receipt= 843 230776 9 4 6  and they recently changed another to go to allizeautomobi (which is a real company and another victim of this sceme) ...hp?receipt= 845_353102 4 6 0 extra spaces added for your protection. Just because a site says .org it does not mean it is a non profit and/or safe to use.

A virus protection program is needed. A reliable free program can be found in Microsoft Security Essentials some services like Comcast offer Norton.  These types of scams can also result in you being told you need to provide an additional fee to get your package - if you provide it you are then exposing your personal information to identity theft and/or once linked to the site a virus sent to your computer.

Google "FBI status on hackers - FBI status on email fraud for more updates "

Alacahan has an ip of  (95.168.176.37) and appears to be out of Kangal Turkey and or it's face book link as of 1/4/12 shows Alacahan Nahivesit, 58870 Kangal, Sivas, Turkey  no other business appears to be linked to it; alacahan is the name of a place in Turkey ( not very creative )
